PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENTS

If you are interested in joining UCLA as a graduate student, for instance to work on a PhD with me, this is for you (especially if you are a foreign student):
  • Admission to UCLA Graduate School, as usual in the US, is not based on individual professors' decisions. Students apply to the Mathematics Department and, if admitted, will choose an advisor after passing the qualifying exams, usually within two years of entering the program.
  • Applications to UCLA are open in the Fall, for entry the following year. Decisions are made in the Winter and finalized by mid April.
  • If you are specifically interested in my research, you can find two surveys of tensor triangular geometry on my publication page under number 30 and 50.
  • If you decide to apply, and wish to perhaps work with me, drop me an email once you have submitted your material to UCLA, so I can try to review your file.
