Undergraduate Research Fellows Program (URFP)
Students pursuing research during the winter and spring quarters may be eligible for the Undergraduate Research Fellows Program (URFP). Participants receive a $2,000 scholarship, conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor, and participate in HC101A: Student Research Forum. Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship (MMUF)
This two-year program is designed for outstanding students in Mellon-designated humanities, arts, and social science fields who intend to pursue a PhD and a career in academia. The chief goal of the program is to diversify the professori¬ate and eradicate racial disparities in higher education. Mellon Mays Fellows receive two years of scholarship support (~$15,000 total) and work closely with faculty advisors and graduate mentors to design and carry out an independent research project and prepare for graduate school.
