Bruins-In-Genomics (B.I.G.) Summer is an undergraduate research program for students who are interested in learning computational biology, and pursuing a graduate education in biosciences.
The program offers two tracks for students with limited to advanced computing skills. Students in the program will:
- learn to analyze genomes
- engage in research projects with leading faculty
- attend weekly science talks
- present at student journal clubs
- participate in professional development seminars & social activities
The program concludes with a scientific poster sessions and award ceremony.
Students receive a $4,000.00 stipend. Travel allowance and housing is also provided to non-local students.
