The Department hosted a family alumni event, Movies, Medicine and the Magic of Math, on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Over 160 adults, teens and children joined in on the fun! Professor Joey Teran presented his research used in Disney movies such as Frozen and Moana, explaining how complex mathematical equations are applied to movie animation. Afterwards, a reception was held in the Court of Sciences with research demonstrations and kids activities. Read more about the event in the upcoming fall newsletter!
